Kitsune greeted her with similar affection as she settled in beside her on the beach. Gentle nuzzles and support as mother and daughter settled there. Venom kissed the top of her head as she leaned against her and silence settled easily over them as the morning began to break. All of the children were developing at a different pace but they were all progressing in their own way. Some physically like Ike who had seemed to shoot up overnight. Ikigai grew more graceful with each passing day, and Kuroki more brave. Little Kitsune was as clever as the fox she was named after, and that trait suited her well.

”Kitsune,” Venom replied softly as Kit spoke and looked up to her, her question taking Venom off guard. She hid the emotion well as she titled her head and looked down at her daughter adoringly. ”Of course Kitsune, everyone has parents. You’ve heard me talk about your grandfather Archon.” His name was still uttered and his memory lived on. ”Hmm,” maybe they hadn’t received the story while in lessons. ”My father’s name was Archon Abraxas and my mother Deathbelle Klein.” She told her daughter softly as she stroked her fur. ”He died in the volcano eruption long before you were born.” Venom said softly, still feeling his missing presence. Sometimes she still felt like that lost little pup who lost her father and her hero that day. ”Your grandmother was never really the same after, but it would take almost two years before I took the throne from her. She lives in Habari now.”
