They all continued to drive the massive creature forward until it finally went over the edge of the canyon. Balthier wouldn't follow the rest of them down though, instead he just peered over the cliff's edge at the creature that would feed them for the next season or so. It was a well deserved reward, but of course he still felt sorry or thankful for the life of the mammoth as his father had taught him. He only watched briefly as his father went first along side his comrade and felt the pride in himself for being able to help in this hunt. They wouldn't need his help to finish the job, it seemed everything was under control. |
