Ezra watched the stunned coyote he had thrown toward the trees stagger back to its paws and start running away from the pair of wolves, freeing him up to focus on the last stupid coyotes that didn't seem to get the message. His ears perked at Eska's warning and he bristled as he quickly turned to face the canine that was running toward him. It was a lot smaller and faster than he was though to he wasn't able to face it in time to keep it from getting to him and grimaced as it jumped up to bite into his upper thigh near where it connected with his side. With a low growl he reached and sank his teeth into the pest's neck, his much larger jaws wrapping around from the edge of its throat around the back of its neck.

He bit down hard, forcing it to let go of the hold it had on his thigh, hearing it screech in pain, but that was cut off as he bit down harder on his neck. Picking up the little, troublesome canine he gave it the same treatment as its friend and tossed it away, except the movement against his unusual teeth did more damage to the coyote's throat than he meant to and when it hit the ground it didn't get up right away, bleeding heavily which made him think he probably hit some sort of major vein of some kind. That seemed to finally get the message through to the other coyotes at least and they ran off, leaving behind their fallen companion and disappearing into the trees.

With a flick of his ears he walked over to the coyote he had thrown that was still struggling and trying to get up, but every time it tried to get to its paws it would fall back down and the choked gurgling sounds it made kept getting worse. Ezra didn't want to kill it, but he knew it was just going to suffer otherwise and that felt worse. He caught it by the neck again, but this time he gave it a hard twist like he might have a prey animal to kill it, feeling the vertebrae snap before the coyote go limp.
