Siren was content here, more than content the woman really was happy. Being social was never of much importance to the princess, being confined here wouldn't be some imprisonment. The opposite in fact. Chimera was trying to keep her safe, if he was leagues and leagues away from her she wouldn’t be able to call for him in a moment’s notice. This was all for her own good. Siren trusted Dalila to protect her to a point, but there was no reckoning force like her brother. Siren’s mind skipped past the potential to be at the receiving end of his fury, with the way he held her so close and protectively she couldn’t conceive that he might harm her. Least of all if she tried to set foot off the island.
Chimera nuzzled her softly in reassurance as she panicked lightly that he might be leaving. The last time they spent any time apart was when she had been taken to the Armada. He assured her that he would not be gone for too long, a month at the very most. At least that was how much food had been left. Siren leaned into his thick fur, her tiny pink paws grasped into his chest. The bridge would be deconstructed while he was gone, she would be safe. She didn’t expect any trouble from Viper, but like Chi said Dalila would do her duty and protect her.
Siren couldn’t have cared less about Viper’s opinions or naughty streak, she hadn’t ever cared about the woman and that was one reason she had been so determined to take Dalila for herself. Chimera could take his anger out on the small woman, he didn't have to touch her sweet Dal. ”Why is she so special?” She mumbled into Chimera’s fur softly, not even really meaning to say it out loud. Siren had no intentions of provoking the she wolf, she didn’t even want to look at her, but she was curious what her brother saw in her.
Chimera soothed her further, telling her that he would always return to her, she was the most important. Siren whined softly at his words and wrapped her delicate little arms around his neck. Something deep inside urged her to hold him tighter and to press herself against him as tiny tears pricked at her eyes. Her emotions were much harder to control right now and all she wanted was Chimera to hold her and never leave her. ”Do you have to go?” She whispered into his fur as he kissed her delicate ears and she squeezed her arms and eyes tightly.
