The stranger fell into an easy smile, and Mort's own grew in response. Since she didn’t seem likely to jump if he moved too close, he let himself step a little closer. At her words, he looked down at himself, and then back at her with a puzzled grin. “What, this old coat? Except for the wings, you’ll find most of the same patterns on my siblings.” He explained. Watching her as he walked, he took another step and his paw plunged into one of the thin waterways that were frequent around this place.
