don't forget me

Indigo usually thought himself a perceptive man, he could see the distress easily in those he was close to, but as Aslatiel hid her deeper feelings Indigo believed her because he wanted to. He couldn’t see the strife and reluctance in her because he had no desire to. He wanted her to mesh with this little family he created, deep down he wanted her to be a part of it but even in his heart he knew that wasn’t a real possibility, and yet he still held onto hope. He didn’t judge his sister ever, he was concerned with her state of mind though and he hoped that being away from the pack and the pups, meeting these wonderful wolves he called his band, might return that beautiful smile he loved so much. He hadn’t taken off the vibrant feather she gave him and woke into his mane, a constant visual reminder of the one that held his heart. He showed her the camp proudly, this was the culmination of all of his hard work. The herd of goats, their cozy little camp, this might have been the second dream he wished but he was content. He wanted to be beside Aslatiel to proudly stand at her side as her mate, but that dream was unrealistic and would only cause sorrow if he chased it. The Fatalis smiled down at Aslatiel and her grin as the members of his band filed in. Duchess appeared from the falls, her slim frame approaching and offering her usual affection in greeting but she was quiet. Indy grinned and gave her a small nuzzle at the top of her head as she made herself comfortable before them. Gypsy was quietly led by the dark furred sheep they acquired together. The animal had helped Gypsy so much since being acquainted, she acted as a seeing eye sheep and gave Gypsy much more freedom than she had ever had before. Segin and Emersyn appeared before them, the former being the only one that introduced himself. The sweet man had always been friendly and larger than life. Em quietly made her way to the edge of the group, always careful and cautious she was the second line of defense and she took her job seriously. Each of them was essential to the band and took their position seriously. They all had their place in his life and Indigo wanted to show that to his sister. He’d seen her claw her way to the top of the Armada’s ranks, he wanted her to see and know he was fighting alongside her and succeeding. ”Everyone, meet my sister, Aslatiel.” He grinned down at her, the love and adoration he felt for this woman obvious in his expression. ”Aslatiel, this is my band.” He was proud of the wolves he brought together. ”Duchess, Gypsy, Segin, and Emersyn.” They were missing Cosette, but he had been worried about her since before they left. She was quiet and secretive and he felt like he was losing her. ”And Bertha.” He gestured to each wolf and chuckled when he pointed to the four horned sheep. This was maybe one of the happiest moments of his life, he was purposefully ignoring the tension that was building. "Speech" |
