The Aracari let out a delighted peel of laughter as she watched the bewilderment sweep across his face. Following quickly in its wake was understanding, and need. Did he think it would be easy? She didn’t just want a little bit of fun. She wanted to be remembered. She wanted all other encounters to pale in light of her, until he yearned for what he had once had.

He tore after her, displaying lithe muscles and speedy paws. She turned abruptly, grinding to a halt. Standing firm as she ravaged him with her eyes. Slow and lustrous as they trailed up his well-made body. Even as she did so, she rolled back on her paws, bracing herself, prepared for the crash her sudden stop was likely to bring. Let the two wolves collide. Once, twice, as many times as she pleased…
