Fireside Fall Festival

Hey all, Álarr of Fireside is planning to hold a Fall Festival with activities for healers and hunters.

Who:  Invitations will be sent out to all packs and bands. Any age can participate in the healing event. Hunters must be 6 months or older to participate.

What: Fall Festival with activities for Healers and Hunters

When: Sign-ups are due by July 31st.   I'll start the festival August 1st.

Where:  Algoma Prairie and Fern Gulley

Healing Herb Hunt Competition:


• Healers will be divided into teams of two to go herb hunting. Skill level won't matter though I'll try and get everything evened out as much as possible.

• Start a thread with your team out hunting herbs in Fern Gulley. After each character posts twice dice will be rolled to determine what is found. (tag me on discord when you're ready for your thread to be rolled)

Common Herbs - 1 point

Dandelion - Common
Marigold - Common
Meadowsweet - Common
Motherwort - Common
Yarrow - Common
Cannabis - Common

Uncommon Herbs - 2 points

Marshmallow - Uncommon
Periwinkle - Uncommon
White Willow Bark - Uncommon

Moderate Herbs - 3 points

Boneset - Moderate
Horsetail - Moderate
Lavender - Moderate
Watercress - Moderate

Rare Herbs - 4 points

Wintergreen - Rare

How the Dice Rolls Work

A D20 will be rolled for the rarity of the herb you find.

19 - 20 - Rare
15 - 18 - Moderate
9 - 14 - Uncommon
1 - 8 - Common

Another Die will be rolled to determine which herb in that category you found.

• You can then post a third time to have your characters find and gather the plant. (yay skill points!)

• Your team can complete as many as 3 threads before they will be too tired to continue. All 3 threads can be started at the same time if you wish.

• Threads will need to be completed by August 28th. On August 29th the festival will close and team points will be tallied to determine the winner!


Winner's Prize: 50 gems each

Second Place: 25 gems each

Hunting Competition:


• Hunters will be divided into teams of two to hunt a medium prey animal. Characters must be 6 months or older to participate.

• Start a thread with your team tracking a medium prey animal of your choice in Algoma Prairie. After each character posts twice dice will be rolled to determine the success of the hunt.


Epic Fail:  1 point - hunt failed miserably, did someone get injured?

Close But No Cigar:  2 points - hunt failed but you were close

Success!: 3 points - hunt succeeded

Epic Win: 4 points - hunt succeeded, perfect execution


How the Dice Rolls Work

A D20 will be rolled.


Epic Fail:  1-2

Close But No Cigar:  3-9

Success: 3 points - 10-18

Epic Win: 4 points - 19-20



• You can then post a third time to have your characters play out the consequence of the dice roll. (Remember you now can get points for failed medium prey hunts as well)

• Your team can complete as many as 3 threads before they will be too tired to continue. All 3 threads can be started at the same time if you wish.

• Threads will need to be completed by August 28th. On August 29th the festival will close and team points will be tallied to determine the winner!

• Please do your best to keep up with your team mate!

• As this is only a month-long event, if your partner fails to post for a week and you are concerned about not finishing please message me on Discord. I have healers and hunters I can throw in to take another character's place if necessary.
