The beginning after the end

There was a lot of stuff to check out in this little patch of forest. Veigar's victory was forgotten as quickly as it had been earned. The scent of the bloomed redbud trees filled Veigar's nose and made it hard to concentrate on the other scents that assaulted him. Right off the bat he couldn't smell any rats but that didn't mean they weren't here, he knew that. It'd take more searching to tell for sure where they might be. He scrambled over some vegetation and dug at some dirt mounds, though realized after a second Áskell had found something of interest and he hurried over as quickly as he could.
He cocked his head as he eyed the dirt mount, leaning down to sniff hard at it. "I think something's in there," he mused as he sniffed at the air and tried to lean his head inside. He debated trying to stick his head in there but all he could think of was some monster biting his nose. Veigar shuddered a bit at the thought and backed up a few steps. "How do you think we'll get it out?" Áskell was older and therefore wiser, and he hoped he had some kind of solution.

Veigar is completely blind; his eyes are a hazy shade of pale yellow, though he tries his best to hide this fact.
His saliva also glows a faint shade of neon green since the Ooze event.
