Alastor seemed to approach everything in his life full force with no holding back and when she brought up the thought of teaching him more about the Medium traditions and laws he made her grin at the enthusiasm he showed toward the idea. She hadn't been sure how much he would want to be involved in considering how reluctant she had seen some mates be in other relationships within her family, but Alastor proved again and again how he truly was her soul mate, the one that claimed the Ancient soul destined to match hers. She wanted to bring the Mendacium name back to life and revive it as it should truly be and he would be the one to help her do it. She chuckled at his playful grin, murring softly at the feeling of his paws roaming across her body. Her paws moved across his shoulders and chest in return, wondering to herself how long it would take before her lessons would get interrupted by their insatiable lust for one another.

"Hm... you already know most of the laws... Having one child chosen from each litter, all pups coming from one pair of wolves and from no one else, not being allowed to take another mate or have pups with anyone else if one of us dies... And of course that family comes first above all else," she recapped, trying to narrow down exactly what Alastor needed to learn. "I suppose that mostly leaves the why that's behind those things. The more spiritual and less tangible things." Her paws moved across his chest and around his neck as she spoke, combing her claws through the thick black fur. "Oh, and the disciplinary things for breaking those laws as well... That doesn't happen all that often, but it does happen. We had to disown my mother after she took another mate after my father died." She said it matter of factly, unfazed by that fact. It had to be done. Her mother had been given more leniency than most and still went behind their backs to get what she wanted.

"I suppose I can start with the Ancients... I know I've mentioned the Ancients before, but essentially what it is is the souls and energy that we come from. The Mendacium wolves are particularly gifted with this energy and are given stronger souls with more power than other common wolves. This manifests its self in likes like our size, our build, the vibrant colors of our fur, mutations like my horns and paws. Things that make us stand out from the rest and usually give us some kind of advantage or gift. We refer to that energy as the Ancients because when we die our souls rejoin that energy and eventually our souls are reincarnated into the next generation of Mendacium wolves. Every time we're reincarnated we come back even stronger than before." She paused, giving him a smile as she waited to make sure he had absorbed that much before he added, "When a Mendacium litter is conceived, one complete soul is granted to that litter from the Ancients and depending on the strength of the bond between the parents or if they are true soul mates or not will determine how strong of a soul is given to them." An excited grin pulled across her lips and she chuckled as she flicked a teasing lick across his nose. "Which is one of the reasons I'm so excited to see our children... I can't even imagine the kind of strength a union like ours is going to create."
