She did like the confident reaction from the girl, it seemed all the red kids were like that though. Onyx's family was strong, but two of her siblings didn't take to fighting. She would have fought them anyway though because they needed to learn how to fight and how to protect themselves. And she just liked to pick the fight, even with her siblings.

"Not a chance." She smirked back, nearly mimicking the red girl's confident attitude. She was already enjoying their time together, she didn't even know her name.

Onyx moved forward quickly afterwards, closing the distance without much warning but the girl was sure to be ready just from her acceptance of the spar. Just the light age difference made them about equally matched in height and build, but one day Onyx would be bigger than her. She aimed to throw a bite down at the red girl's front right forearm around the sides. She didn't hold back from aggression, though it wasn't wise to really intentionally harm a pack mate. So that wasn't her intention. She just wanted to win.
