Ezra smirked at the drawn out grumble of his name, but she didn't try to pull away when he refused to stop rubbing and tracing her back with his paws. In fact, she leaned even more into him with her head on his chest. He loved the way she felt leaned into him like this with her slender form under his rough paw pads, her paws flexing across his skin, her scent filling his nose... Right. The scent from her heat. He kept forgetting, getting so lost in her that all he could focus on was how much he enjoyed being with her like this and how much he liked getting to hold her and touch her like this. Even the little sigh she made when he kissed the top of her head made his heart skip. Without really considering what he was doing, he did finally stop rubbing her back in favor of wrapping his forelegs around her and pulling her tight against him, one around her sides and the other supporting her back. He left a trail of more kisses across the top of her head and around her ears, feeling his heart stutter and skip while that new desire crept up from his gut, chasing away his logic as easy as a leaf on a breeze.

He didn't really notice how much it was affecting him as well until he started to feel breathless, realizing then how this heat had spread across his skin and just how firmly he was holding her. All that warmth and electricity that had been dancing across his skin wherever they touched had begun to settle between his thighs, affecting him in ways that he had never felt and his face flushed when he realized it, making him stop the trail of kisses he was leaving across her soft fur. "I... I should stop, shouldn't I...?" he asked softly against her ear, forcing himself to loosen his embrace and lift his head away from hers. He most certainly didn't want to stop, but he knew he should. He didn't want to over step any boundaries, he didn't want to push things too far, and he didn't want to risk any of the things his father warned him about.
