With the band settled in Boreas, Cosette had no real reason to be this far south. From what she understood, they would be back come winter, but would spent the warmer months north. The call came as a surprise, unsure of who, other than her mother or one of her band mates, might be calling for her. But other Nomads weren’t likely to call for her, and even less likely to be this far from the falls. And the voice that called was definitely not her mothers. Curiosity drew her closer, even though she knew it could be a bad idea to follow summons of unknown origins.
As she drew near, a familiar frame came into view and she quickly released the tension she didn’t know she was carrying. Avantika. She remembered the girl from their brief meeting. As awkward as it had been, it had been nice to talk to the young Hallows girl. Had she known that Cosette had left with Indigo and his band? It didn’t matter to her how the girl had known to call for her, she was just glad to be in the company of someone who didn’t make her feel so… strange. She had been nervous about leaving with the band without really having a sense of who everyone was, but she hadn’t expected things to be quite so intense. She hadn’t been present when Indigo brought his sister to meet everyone, but she was well aware of the fallout afterwards. The tension amongst the group had become too much, it was what had driven her so far. She had already felt like an outsider among them, and the shift in the atmosphere lately had made her feel so anxious she found herself feeling ill some nights.
A smile spread across her face as she stopped close to Avantika, her gaze dropping to examine the supplied laid out on the ground. "What’s all this?" Whatever it was, it looked like the perfect distraction from everything she didn’t want to think about.
