Serenity had hurt the coyote under her well enough to stun it, or scare it enough to where it's interest was no longer fighting back and resorting to fleeing, so when she noticed the second coyote attacking the girl, she backed off and went after the new attacking coyote. The girl got a good grip around the coyote's muzzle, so Serenity went for a grab around the small canine's hip, making the two of them far superior over it and it's two comrades were backing off and fleeing back home. When she noticed the retreat, she let go herself but didn't know what the girl had in mind. She wouldn't have stopped her from killing the creature, but she saw no reason to. She at least wouldn't have judged her if she chose to, and it would be another kill for their stores if anything. |
