Faith felt her heart hammering hard as the other young woman lifted her eyes, fixing her with a seafoam stare. Anyone who knew the girl's parentage might have felt amused to see the usually so calm, stoic and self-assured girl was now so clearly out of her element, a trait her own mother had once shared. Faith cleared her throat trying to regain her composure but her next response was clearly still somewhat uncertain.

"No, I uh-" Faith stumbled through her words, clearing her throat again before trying again. "No, I guess I am simply curious. I've not had much chance to see to much of the world nor meet many others and I..." She what? Wanted to make friends? Hardly, but even Faith who's life had long revolved around her beliefs knew not to come to strong out of the gates about it all.
