Once she had slaked her thirst, Lia was quick to fall into line. A soft utterance of "Yes Absinthe, Sir." while she dropped her bright gaze to his paws. He dipped his head in acknowledgement, and picked himself up to return to where the rest of the group was busily assembling the supplies. He paid little heed to the small servant girl, who he could only assume was following dutifully behind him, indicated by the gentle click of dull claws on stone. He paused just beyond the group of busy bodies, waiting for an opening to slip through. He glanced back at Lia and gave her a curt nod of his head, muzzle dipping towards the ground to indicate he wanted her to sit there and wait for his return. Svelte form wove through the mountains of supplies, boxed and crated and bagged, until he found the crate he was looking for. It had, thankfully, been left on the soft hide that helped slide its weight easily across the ground. He grabbed hold of one of the ropes binding it shut, and hauled it away from the rest of the supplies. When he returned to Idalia, he paused to slip the lead over his head and across his chest. "Let's get to work, shall we?" he said, and started to pull his load back towards the darkened recesses of the main antechamber. "Your vision is better than mine, Miss Idalia, so if you see a ledge that would fit a lamp, please say so." he murmured, muscles coiling against the weight he pulled. It had been a while since he'd had the chance to perform any strenuous labour, and it felt nice to be working his underutilized strength. There weren't many opportunities to freshen up his battle training, and he worried that soon his skills would wane. STEP IN LINE, EVERYTHING WILL BE JUST FINE |
