Hanako wasn't really under house arrest, but with the weather being as cold and dreary as it was she had very little interest in venturing outside. Sirius had been right in stating that hiding away in here would be a waste, that it quickly lost its cosy charm, but she still wasn't sure how she felt about all of this. About everything, the twists and turns her life could take if only she took the leap. But even that seemed to be asking for too much, with Sparrow and her pirates Hanako had simply been swept up by the charm of it all. She hadn't thought about the consequences much at all and it showed, clearly.

So lost in her thoughts, Hanako was taken aback by the light scritching by the entryway. She paused, her ears tipping forward as they caught the soft timbre of Mortis' voice. What was he doing here? Things between them hadn't ended well, to say the least, so the fact he was reaching out at all made her feel a little hesitant. She wasn't really in the mood to get into another argument, least of all with a Fatalis who easily loomed over her.

His rejection still hurt, especially with how it had violently spiralled out of control, and she wasn't really sure how she felt about it all. Despite what she claimed she was the sort who clung onto grudges, her ego couldn't tolerate slights and Mortis had snubbed her pretty thoroughly. That and she could still catch Hikaru's scent on his fur just rubbed her the wrong way, like he was inadvertently smushing it in her face. That he just didn't want her.

"Yeah, I guess." She replied, frowning a little, the tone of her words such a stark contrast to how they used to be. How she wanted things to be.
