Kaija had been slowly testing the waters lately and venturing further away from Valhalla's borders. While the yearling still wasn't sure what the future had in store for her, she did know there was a lot she wanted to see and do still. She didn't want to stay in one place forever and see the same exact sights, day after day. She wanted to see the world and meet everyone in it. She wanted to be a strong fighter like her mom, she wanted to hunt and run free in the mountains. She wanted it all. And though Kaija was impulsive as anything else, she knew she couldn't just set off on her own; she needed to do things right and she needed to be ready, if she decided to leave Valhalla.

The sound of someone looking for a fight immediately piqued her interest. Her experience in actual sparring was minimal at best, and she wanted to try her luck at it again. Ears perked forward as she headed across the field toward the stranger. Once Kaija finally found her she was immediately taken with her appearance. While she herself had tusks that jutted out of her mouth, this girl had… antlers? They stuck straight out of her forehead. She didn't particularly care for people gawking at them all the time so she tried not to stare too hard as she drew closer, wearing a friendly grin instead.

Unlike Briar, Kaija wasn't at all prepared for this. She had never even considered armor and she definitely didn't have companions helping her. But the disadvantage didn't deter her in the slightest, at least it didn't seem so on the outside. "Hey, you looking for a practice fight? Let's do it!" Her posture spoke of someone ready to playfully wrestle rather than spar, as she crouched down and wiggled her hindquarters up in the air.
