Legends Are Told

Cina grinned as Onyx' blue form shot out of the stairwell up to the deck of the ship, jumping into their fight without a bit of warning. He did love her enthusiasm for fighting and with the sleet starting to come down harder around them he was more than a little eager to get the fight over with so they could retreat inside. She jumped out toward him with her forelegs out stretched to wrap around his neck. He tried to dodge her, but the sleet had very quickly made the metal floor of the deck slick and even one quick step made him start to slip. In his efforts to save his balance he hadn't been able to avoid her attack and she wrapped her legs around his shoulders, feeling her teeth latch onto the side of his scruff.

The impact of her momentum toward him made him stagger slightly. Under normal conditions this probably wouldn't be a big deal. He was bigger than her and his balance was pretty good so normally he wouldn't have an issue with absorbing that kind of impact. This darn icy rain was making things a bit more difficult, however. He tried to catch himself again, but his paws started to slip out from under him. Thinking quickly, he made an effort to at least twist to try and bring Onyx down with him, aiming to land on top of her to try and pin her under him as he fell.
