The water was warm and soothed Hattori's heavy bones as he sat in the Springs, eyes closed, breathing slow and measured. He did not venture beyond Ashen's borders all that often, but even Hattori recognised the need for some time away from the daily grind. That if he wanted some time alone with his thoughts this was the place for it. By the time he emerged out of the pool hours had passed, enough that the sun had started to dip beneath the horizon. The Shogun did not bother to shake himself off as he clambered over the lip of the pool, leaving little puddles in his wake as he crossed the territory and edged closer to the smaller pools. There was no use in drying off now, he was only going to get wet again when he crossed the bridges between Ashen Islands.

It was only then that he noticed another wolf within the waters, floating idly and clearly distracted by her thoughts. He immediately recognised her as one of Firesides' raids men and was quick to continue on his way, barely even sparing her disinterested glance as he went. He said nothing, made no attempt to greet her or offer her some snide words. She simply was not worth the breath and he had better things to do.
