Lunch?

She hadn't been in the north for vary long, but so far she liked it. It was summer but it wasn't freezing nor was it extremely hot. With her peppered pelt the desert was too hot and here was ideal. The woman couldn't help but wonder what the winters would be like. Red and blue eyes swept over the land as the alpha came to mind. Never in her entire life had she thought she would be willing to take the second alpha over the top alpha and in Glaciem of all places. As a young girl she had dreamed of owning her own pack, making her own rules, and having the most important and well cared for children in the pack. Well she would make sure she would have at least one of those even if it meant she had to be second to the albino alpha. Peppers mind went back to the man's call. She remembered how the other women drooled over him and how he used their reactions to his advantage. Her tail lashed to the left as a young bull elk cot her attention on her her right. Her mind cleared of the pack of mostly women for the moment as she went into hunting mode. The bull was looking in her general direction but luckily hadn't seen her yet, she was instantly grateful for the tall grass that hid her. Slowly, silently, she made her way to the elk until all she had to do was wait for him to walk right into her ambush of one. It was a long wait, but the second the bull stepped close enough to her the medium sized wolf had her jaws clamped tight around his throat. Her grip getting only getting tighter as the elk fought for his life. What would have seemed like an age for her lunch was only minutes for her. He was on the ground taking his last breath and then finally he was dead. Her nose shot to the air and out rang her beautiful soprano voice. She was calling for a pack member to share the meal with her. She had not specified for any specific member, but she knew she had wanted the male to come to her call. She was looking to become his alphess after all, and she figured she could score a few points by sharing her elk with him. She wanted to be a 'top dog' and she wanted her future children to be treated with respect and for them to have a chance at being an alpha. She knew there was only one way to make those almost guaranteed and that was for him to be the father and for her to prove she was worthy of the alpha female position. All that was left to do was sit and wait to see who was coming. If it was a woman of the pack, she would still share but she would be sure they knew not to screw up her plans. Speech,Thought |
