You look like the girlfriend I had in February of last year

It was only really the noise that drew Sparrow's attention. It wasn't a loud or sudden noise either, but just enough to bring her back to reality from the serene, tranquil noise of the springs. Her eyes flipped open just for a moment, as if blinking the pain away when the sun becomes too bright for a moment. In those brief flashes of vision, Sparrow's peripheral was filled with brief splotches of vibrant orange, and although those splotches were framed by a large, dark form, it was a suggestion of the orange splotches themselves that raked itself through Sparrow's brain and brought back the most vivid of memories to the forefront of her mind. Without much time for thought, Sparrow exhaled and moved to turn, sinking in submerging herself into the warm spring waters as she thrashed and clogged her way back to the surface and an attempt to get a glimpse of what she thought she had seen.

"Hana?"

The word came out as a breathy whisper, whether that was because of the lack of breath from sinking into the springs or the sheer amount of surprise and maybe hopefulness that Sparrow held was uncertain. She hauled her large frame out of the water, still dripping furiously and forming a large puddle at her paws. Looking much more like a drowned rat than a wolf, Sparrow was able to focus her attention on the being in front of her.

"Oh," with all she managed to say when she realized her mistake, but quickly swallowed her heart down back to where it belonged and threw on a flashy smile. "It's you. From the raid."

She could play this off, she was sure. "You any kin to a girl named Hanako? You look kinda like her but less pretty and more horny. Like. I mean. You have- what- four horns? Y'know. Full of horns horny, not like boner horny."

Her mind was in shambles, but she tried to play it off as a joke and as if she hadn't just imagined that she saw her girlfriend walking past her in some wishful thinking of the way. "Anyway, mister I think alpha guy. You really do look like her."
