Catch and Don't Release

The season was very quickly coming to an end. It had been a few weeks since her children were born and while they weren't quite ready to leave the den just yet she was steadily beginning to introduce small bits of meat into their diet and that meant keeping fresh kills around so they could have tender meat to pick from for them. Alastor had done the bulk of the hunting for the first week or two while she was kept to the den with two blind, hungry children, but now that she was free to stretch her legs again and had begun to leave him on puppy play duty more often than not - which he was more than happy to do.

She smirked as she thought of him playing with their two gorgeous pups, something that had quickly become a pass time for her. It was almost more fun to watch this behemoth, demon of a brute act like more of a pup than their own children than it was to actually entertain them. She loped smoothly across the prairie with her aqua gaze focused on her surroundings, scanning for any particular prey that she might be able to quickly bring down on her own so she could get back to her family, though since it was late in the season the smaller prey was starting to get a little more difficult to come by.
