Hattori's ears twitched a little as the woman called out to him. He shot her a look, sharp and disapproving, only to pause when the stranger shot him a smile that did not reach her eyes. Something he'd seen far more times than he cared to count. She was quick to continue, her question an unwelcome thorn in his side which gave him reason to pause and stopped him from leaving as intended. Hanako? His expression gave nothing away, blank slate as he regarded her with veiled curiosity. To an outsider they no doubt looked similar, but to Hattori they were but night and day; the wolves of Iga did not consider her as one of her own and Hattori did not disagree with such an assessment.
She quickly lost any sense of reason she might have had as she began to ramble, going on about horns and being horny and-ugh. Hattori did not have the patience for this. He blinked slowly and distracted himself by wondering what she was truly getting at. Was this act simply a plot to distract him? At first, it looked as though it may be but upon further inspection it became evident she was struggling to hold it all together. Like the words were rushing out whether she wanted them too or not.
"She's not my kin. " And he was rather grateful for it.
