She knew she was nothing to him before even this second meeting. What was she but a mortal to be subject to the whims of the spirits? None before Tiberius had the desire to speak to her, though she had seen many unexplainable scenes. Siren knew her place, but her value truly changed in the demon’s eyes. Just as she was beginning to catch her breath he agreed, his tone had changed. Like he realized she was not the otherworldly fairy he’d built her up to be. Far before she wished for the experience again she was being laid against the sand. The storm was still raging, but the wind began to pick up, creating a sound that echoed the ocean surf as the red and orange leaves on the trees were blown against each other en masse.

The smell of rain drifted against them and Siren clung to the relief of her other senses. She tried to relax against the sand, now privy to what he would do to her. Dainty paws settled on her chest and she tried not to look at him, nor the horrible expression he wore now. She knew pledging herself to an immortal being would be a difficult path, that knowledge encompassed the fact that this would not be her final burden. There was little doubt the god would leave her with the care of his children.

She couldn’t think of the future, as he took her again there were no more thoughts at all. He wanted and would take every bit of her. The demon smothered her, took her breath away and filled her with pain. He held her tightly, but seemed to welcome the way she fought against him weakly. She cried out and struggled, but truly had no hope of release. Do not leave the island. For a terrifying moment the predator’s gaze met hers, Chimera’s voice rang through her head. Then she knew nothing but the water spirit above her. There was no control as Siren was reduced to her most base instincts. There was no reprieve and his touch no longer held any restraint. Even the rain went unnoticed as she endured beneath the mighty behemoth.
