The howl was a pretty enough thing, light and yet strong all the same, calling anyone to the source of it. It was certainly a female that had called, and Irin presumed that it was a fellow member of Glaciem. Perhaps she should approach. Irin had, after all, mostly kept to herself since the pack meeting, since she had joined this interesting pack. It seemed like a good enough plan, to meet another pack member, so Irin rose smoothly to her paws and broke into a lope, heading towards the call. If you had asked Irin, before she left her family, where she thought she would end up, a place like this would not have been her answer. She felt strange, out of place, and yet, Irin also felt like she would be happy here. It might take some time to figure things out, but the North had always drawn her. She had loved it ever since she met Domovei and talked to him. Apparently, Amenti wasn't too far away. Perhaps she could meet him again, though Irin had heard that things had changed a lot in that pack since Newt had ruled it. Perhaps the male would not still be in the area, but it would be interesting to attempt. For the moment, however, Irin had bigger issues. Like whether or not this female would shred her ears for appearing. Her call had not been for anyone in specific, but as Irin approached the black and white female, she came to a stop a few feet away, head tilted slightly and blue eyes focused on the kill before the other wolfess. Her stomach rumbled plaintively, reminding her that she had forgotten to eat for some time now. She had been too distracted by her imagination, by dreaming of what lay beneath the snow and of what pack life would be like. Still, it would be impolite to just ask, and if they were packmates, well, Irin wanted to be friends. Tail wagging gingerly, Irin spoke in a soft voice, "Greetings, miss. I'm Irin. I'm afraid I don't know your name." She was polite, if a little nervous sounding. Her tail gave another halfhearted wag as Irin waited for the other female's response, her ears pricked in the other's direction. "speech" |
