The desert most certainly didn't feel like a pleasant place to be, but now that the temperatures all across Boreas were beginning to cool she was slightly more inclined to give it a try. The sun was still quite bright, but at least the temperature didn't quite match the intensity of the sun above them. She followed some hoof prints and a scent she wasn't entirely familiar with, but it wasn't too unlike the striped equines they had come across before so she hoped perhaps it was another herd of those kind of creatures. They had been fun to hunt and from the hoof prints they were following away from the prairie she had a feeling that at whatever it was must be at least slightly similar.
When they crested a dune toward the edge of the desert it was revealed what they had been tracking which in fact wasn't the striped horses from before, but a herd of wild asses. They were moving steadily through the sands, but were plenty slow enough that they could easily catch up to the stocky beasts. She cast a glance over to Alastor beside her with a little shrug and a smirk, saying, "Well, not what we were looking for, but... might as well since they're here, right?" It wasn't like they really needed an excuse to hunt the creatures. Hunting and killing was as much a means of survival as a pastime and a turn on for them.
