Now that their children were big enough to handle being out of the den and a bit of traveling she was determined to start working their way north so they could start getting a feel for this pack that Venom had pointed her toward. She knew the going would be slow with two young ones to look after, but she didn't mind. They could always carry the little prince and princess if need be and they'd have Irilyth with them to be an extra set of eyes. She had begun to pack the things they could carry with them, crafting a cart to carry the furs they had collected since winter was sure to bring some colder temperatures to contend with. The one thing they were a bit more shy on than she would like was a supply of meats to have on hand just in case prey became more scarce as they moved north. She doubted that dried meats would be very easy for the pups to eat right away, but Alastor, Irilyth, and her could get by on that easily enough and reserve the fresh meat for their little stars.
Gathering enough meat for their trip would mean a large hunting trip and as she and Alastor moved across the prairie a sizable herd of prong horn fit the bill perfectly. She brushed her side against Alastor with a grin before she moved away to start snaking her way through the grasses so that they could approach the herd from both sides and take down as many of them as they could. They had gone on these kind of hunts so many times now that she didn't feel the need to discuss anything with her husband. They were a well oiled machine, a team that worked seamlessly together.
