It didn't take long for an opponent to show herself, and Tyrfing's every nerve lit up with excitement. It wasn't a yearling like himself, but a young woman full grown but not quite his height. The intuitive boy thought perhaps she looked sad, but that wasn't the point of their spar today - perhaps afterwards he could ask her if she was okay, if adults ever made friends with children. "I'm ready." He insisted, seeing she gave pause for him to prepare. Moments later she charged, and he eyed those fast-moving antlers with a sudden panic of oh, god, what do I do??

Sidestepping so fast he tripped over his own feet, he missed having himself gored by the sharp mutations. His forelegs buckled and his knees hit the dirt, but she was still coming so the yearling knew he had to act. He pushed off the ground and aimed to land a bite upon her shoulder, throwing his weight into it with hopes to knock her off balance so he could find his footing again.
