Azure felt the impact hard in his chest and the nimble wolf-like-thing was fast to reposition. He hardly had the time to identify her rapid movements before she was sliding along his left and finding purchase within his left thigh. The pain was instant, and instinctively Azure reached out across himself with his right leg, aiming to arch his body inwards towards her and try and land his mutated right bear paw upon her right flank.

It would be difficult - and painful - with Jynn's hold upon his thigh, but his hope was that his long, curved claws could provide enough purchase in the flesh of her flank that he could yank her back off of him and force her to release him. From his tail end, the fisher appeared. He skittered up his master's tail where he had been desperately holding on, springboarding off Azure's tailbone and aiming to land squarely upon the maned wolf's face, to assist in convincing her to release Azure's thigh.
