Had Skadi not just lost a fight to the very move her sister was trying to pull she might not have been prepared, but getting smashed under an opponent was no fun at all and it was forever seared into her memory. As Dagrun started to fall Skadi, thinking fast, shifted her weight forward onto her front paws. As she did that she kicked off Dagrun's side with her back paws. Though this was an entirely new move for her, she lucked out and stuck the landing. Her back paws struck the ground about the same time as Dagrun's side. Seizing the opportunity to be on top for once, Skadi sought to lay down on Dagrun's side with her front paws sliding down the right side of Dagrun's ribs and her back paws digging into the ground behind Dagrun's back. Her raised rump and coiled back legs were shoving all of her weight towards her chest and - hopefully - into Dagrun's right side just behind the meat of her shoulder. In the hopes of keeping her sister from biting her, Skadi also sought to bite into the right side of Dagrun's neck. The move was equal parts bite and shove as she was hoping to pin her sister's neck to the ground and shorten her reach should she try to lift her head and bite her.
