It wasn't long before Gil found himself back at the Battlefield. After his scrimmage with the small purple female, he was eager to get himself into practice. While it was fun, he wanted more. Fresh scratches ran through his mottled fur like trophies. He wasn't afraid to show that he had been injured before. Keeping his chin slightly lower than his shoulders, the tall male roamed the blood-covered field. His own was there somewhere, but he chose a different area this time. Away from the water, more rocks littered this particular area. Less grass, more dirt, dried out from the lack of rain over the winter. A crisp breeze brought a chill to his bones as he paused. Keeping his tail lowered by his ankles, Gil tilted his chin up to the sky. As the sun began to set, cascading reds and oranges over the horizon, he let loose another howl out into the wind. A call to any taker that was willing to spar with him. When he lowered his face, his yellow eyes scanned around. He was more than ready to get going. Speech |
