She didn't know if it was sheer luck, her dazzling display, or maybe this boy was just as inexperienced as her, that got her this close, but her first strike hit and she couldn't help but feel pride well up in her chest. He was bulkier than her, yes. She was just as tall herself, but more lithe and slimmer than he was. Still, her inexperience had driven her to the head-on approach and she didn't think to do anything else at the moment. You lived and you learned right? She still had plenty to learn, and she had plenty of time to learn it. For a split second, she felt like things were going right.
That is, until she felt a foreleg drape over her shoulder at about the same time she was dragging the other one towards her. Unfortunately, she hadn't taken this sort of maneuver into account. His weight fell forward, the boy taking her down with him. Her teeth missed their mark, barely dragging a few hairs out before she was practically tossed away into the snow. Alien gaze grew wide for a moment in panic, but then as the adrenaline kicked in and she saw things practically different than what others might, her mind raced for a quick course of action.
He came at her, and Tel while a little disoriented and surprised, had managed to twist herself so that she was still on her back, but lithe hind legs were coiled and aimed towards him. The moment he was over her and started to press his paws into her chest, she kicked her hind legs with everything she had into his belly while reaching up and seeking to grasp his shoulders with her forepaws at the same time. Her goal was to send him flying over her pretty little head. If she was successful, then she was confident that her counter would knock the wind from his lungs and disorient him.
She had to admit, so far this fight was teaching her as much as it was entertaining for her.
