Valentine walked up behind Sparrow and sought to thump her on the back with a paw. She was getting even in a big and spectacular sort of way. He approved. As for her hurt feelings, she'd get over it. The girl was resilient. She just needed to let off some steam, get drunk, cause a scene and fuck somebody else, and she was already working on at least half of those just by putting this show together.

It looked like she already had plenty of well wishers to polish her shit and assure her it didn't stink, so he said nothing as he moved off and went in search of the promised drink. He was here to be supportive and tell jokes at the ex's expense, yes, but he was also here to watch his drunk descendants race. That just sounded liked the sort of shit he'd get a kick out of. How could he resist?
