Name: Genji Ryuu
Age: 2
Size: 36" might shoot for 42"
Build: Heavy
Father: Genji Takeshi
Personality: Ryuu is equal parts serious business and laid-back attitude. For the most part, he can be the former and very much is when it comes to important matters. When he's in work mode, Ryuu tends to put all his focus into that, however, depending on the situation he's also been known to bring humor into many situations as well. He likes to joke and laugh because sometimes we all need a break from the seriousness in life. He's dedicated and hard-working though, and his mood can shift like a light switch so always expect the unexpected. One moment he could go from joking and playing around to ready for battle in the blink of an eye. He's extremely loyal to those he considers his brethren and to those he believes are worth being loyal to. His family, of course, are above all else unless they've brought dishonor. At that point depending on who it is, his bond with them, and the crime they committed, he may or may not struggle with accepting this. He's a big guy with a big heart, after all, and he only wishes to improve himself and help guide others to improve themselves as well.
Foolishly brave and confident may be an understatement for Ryuu. He's not afraid of anything or anyone, and may be characterized by others as being "all brawn and no brain." But really, that's what he shows on the outside. Behind his eyes, is a warrior who analyzes each situation at hand, and is very much capable of adapting to it and potentially figuring out a solution for the problem at hand. Not only is he a big beefy boy, but he's a tactician...he just hides the latter so that his opponents let their guard down and underestimate him. He strives to protect and fight for his comrades and his home, and more importantly, his honor and the honor of his clan.
He's generally easygoing, charismatic, and tends to get along with just about anyone. His areas of expertise are diplomatic affairs, politics, strategizing, and of course, he's an excellent tactician. Though again, he kind of keeps this sort of thing under wraps to all but his closest comrades and his family. While outsiders may see him as lazy, bored, and uninterested, Ryuu is always paying attention and observing everything with a keen eye and ear. He's good at manipulating others, though it's never to make them do something bad, rather it's more convincing them more than anything on why this or that would be a bad or good idea. He's good at talking to others when he really wants to, and seldom has a hard time making friends.
Appearance:
Reminiscent of the twilight sky, Ryuu's base coat is a mixture of smoky black and slate blue that works very well together. His head, paws, and hindquarters are darker than his mid-section which takes more of the slate. He blends well with the darkness, though the only slight giveaway might be the red markings that swirl around his face, shoulders & forelegs, and his tail. His ears are tipped with red as well, but that's a little easier for him to hide without the use of camouflage. His coat swirls and blends together, intricately marking the male. Black, blue, and red seem to sync in perfect harmony, with no abrupt stopping points or anything that just doesn't work well together. Even the red markings that are splashed across his crimson eyes do well to accentuate his gaze.
How does this kiddo react to the information on their father?: He's not really sure what to think about it. Assuming the information about his father was public knowledge, Ryuu will likely feel like he has to prove himself all the time, even going as far as training until he can't stand. He'll push himself really hard, often to the point of nearly collapsing from exhaustion. He isn't sure what to believe about his father, however. On one paw, he wants to believe his father was the most honorable and brave there ever was, but on the other, doubt flickers in his mind from the whispers of those who accused Takeshi. He's ashamed of being a traitors son (or so the story goes), and so he seeks the truth to potentially either restore his father's honor, or...well...we'll get to that when we get there :I
