His expression was far from amused, but clearly, the little fae didn't notice or ignored it. Taking another step aside so that the debris that flung from her coat didn't hit him, his glare flatlined into a deadpan and boring look. Tilting his chin down to look at her as she pranced over like a deer frolicking in a field, Gil sighed. Obviously, she was very theatrical in her ways, but he'd get over it eventually. He wouldn't have called it saving her life, but he enjoyed the compliment. Of course he was strong, he wouldn't be able to survive out in the wilds of the north if he was weak. Refraining from laughing, he finally looked away from the young gal.

Looking around the vast cavern, his ears fell back at her question. "Is that a real question?" He asked bluntly, side-eyeing her with his yellowed gaze. Did she really not understand what this place was? Or was she blind? She didn't appear blind, but then again she had been the one catapulting herself off a cliff. Sighing once more, he gave a small shake of his muzzle. "Caverns in a gorge," Gil resounded, slightly agitated, knowing that she was probably going to ask more questions.

Itching to get back to his search, he was hoping the piece of pottery he'd found would lead to more artifacts he could string together for armor. Huffing a breath in her direction, he turned to see if there was a way down the cliff. "Come," he chided, walking farther into the darkness where he saw a small ledge that may lead down to the bottom. From what little he could see, he thought there might be more to find farther in. If she wanted company, or rather protection, Gil figured she'd probably follow or just leave the safe way out.
