all that glitters is gold

The Prairie in Eastern Boreas was one of his favorite places. Even in winter the place seemed to be teeming with life and activity, and from his place by the stream he could see a group of pronghorns grazing on the barely covered grass beneath the thin blanket of snow, along with a pair of foxes hunting for voles a little farther out. The wind could hold a bit of a bite to it sometimes since there weren’t many trees or boulders to stop it’s charging path, but today seemed to be a mild day. The sun was out, doing it’s best to shine in a nearly cloudless sky despite the hold winter had on the land, and the winds themselves were nothing more than the occasional breeze ruffling his fluffy fur. It was a good day for a lot of things, and he found himself unable to decide on just what he was in the mood to do. Did he want to go find someone to race? Have a snowball fight? Hunt up something to eat? Maybe he just wanted to find someone to socialize with for a bit, before he was inevitably forced to go back to being on his own. Decisions, decisions.
That was probably the only thing that Copper didn’t like about his loner lifestyle. Going where he wanted and taking care of himself was fine and all, but he tended to get bored fast. What could he say? He was just a social guy. Luckily though, the prairie was good for that too, and usually the lean, long-legged male didn’t have too much of a hard time finding someone to entertain him out here. It was just a matter of having a little patience, which was a bit like pulling teeth for him. He just had too much energy constantly pent up to want to wait on things, especially when those ‘things’ were the cures to whatever was making him restless and unhappy.
