Ignoring the boy's digging comment, Hattori was quick to slap away his muzzle with a dark paw as he attempted to bite his nose. Kuroki for all his faults was competent in his abilities, young and inexperienced but with all the foundations necessary to be a valuable asset. Were it not for his grating personality and habit of pushing back, he would have made a fine heir. But as things stood he was a menace for the sake of it, seemingly took pleasure in every attempt of getting beneath Hattori's skin. But the boy had never gotten a rise out of him and that wouldn't change now, certainly not mid-fight.

Though he was certainly growing close to his full height, Hattori still outweighed him, enough that if the Shogun pinned him he wouldn't be able to escape. No matter how much he struggled and tried.

Wanting to end this quickly to make a point, Hattori shoulder checked him hard, throwing all of his weight into the attack. Bones thudded as they met and Kuroki fell to the ground as the force of it knocked the air from his lungs with an audible oof. What now? Was that all Kuroki had? All bark and no bite?
