Icy moments

Euphrosyne followed the fea up to the thing's side, seeming even more gigantic than before from this close angle. Her head craned back, barely able to see the top of it. She jumped at the Irish woman's exclamation, her paws slipping on the ice and sending her sprawling onto her stomach. She blinked and looked up at her new acquaintance, a chuckle bubbling up in her throat. Pulling herself back to her paws, she carefully padded over to the thing once again and pressed her own paw to its icy, hard surface. "That is cold!" she replied, jerking her paw back. She sat back on her haunches and peered upward again, wondering what in the world it was and how it got here, stuck in the ice, trapped in time here.
