"Speech!"

Excitement or nervousness was actually a good question. A little bit of both, actually, but he’d never admit to the latter. Excited, though? Definitely. If anything, the nervousness wasn’t anything more than it sounded. He was just a little anxious for the training today, but not debilitating. He was excited more than anything.

Sirius greeted him in the same manner before they were off towards the training grounds and it wouldn’t be long before he’s lesson would start. When they arrived, and they approached the dummies, Grimshaw listened closely to the instruction of the older man and nodded once.

Molten silver eyes focused on the dummy before him, his body moving into a stance to launch. Since this was in fact a dummy, it would be pointless to wait for it to come to him or even change position once he rushed up on it. Of course, he still had to treat it as if it was an actual opponent, but there was only so much that could be done with an inanimate object.

As his body lowered and his shoulders rolled, his rear paws dug deep into the sand of the training ring and a moment later he was off, rushing towards the dummy with every intention of faking the dummy. It was something he’d seen one of the older boys do in the group he ran with and what better time to try it than on something that couldn’t bite or fight back.

He quickly closed the distance between him and the dummy, charging straight for it only to suddenly skid across the sand, sending the sharp dust into the ‘eyes’ of his opponent as his body spun partly until his right side was exposed to the dummy. With the sand and lack of movement from his opponent, he flagged his tail sharply as he turned to send the sand up into the dummy’s face. Using his tail as the rutter it’s meant to be, it allowed him to quickly shift his weight and turn down the right side of his opponent, only to rise up and attack from behind, grabbing the shoulder of the dummy before using his weight to crash down on top of it.

welcome to the freakshow

Grimshaw has a septum ring, a fluffy curled tail, and a horrible facial scar (hover)
