His legs were sore from his journeys across the mainland but that wasn't going to slow him down now. He wanted to win this race even if it didn't really mean anything to him. Just the win would be fun and now that he wanted it, there wasn't any stopping him from trying to take it. There were birds ahead of them that caught the girl off guard as one took it's time to take off. Unfortunately, it turned towards him and managed to cut him off, but only causing a thankfully small falter in his rhythm. Hopefully not enough to cost him the race.
