Isardis was an interesting king, his approach to things, from what little she gathered at the meeting he had called was interesting at best. She couldn?t decide, why she had pledged herself to him, as she seemed so very different from the others who also pledged to his service. His words brought a spark of defiance to her golden orbs, as she looked across the land, refusing to look at her king to fight the shivers that would over-take her. The space closed between them, and instantly her heart began to race, she wanted to lean into the king, and her mind fought it with every inkling of self-respect she had. ?I am merely your duty then?? Her words would come from her jaws, a hoarse whisper cutting into the night air. Why did it bother her so? To be considered a ?duty?. Why did it cut so deep? Drawing her tail around herself, she fought a shiver that had nothing to do with the warm night, but rather his closeness. His scent, filled her nose, it was intriguing, and it drew her. She had to fight that instinctual side, the side that wanted to curl up against him. Muscles tensed, and a sigh escaped her as she struggled to lean away indiscreetly. Speech... |
