Awash in the amber glow of the setting sun the Orchard made a perfect location for enjoying the cooler weather. Dagrún enjoyed the way the light spilled on the thin layer of freshly fallen snow they'd been graced with the night before. It all changed when the sun fully set and the moon started to crawl its way over the horizon. Dagrún stopped cold as she realized the moon that was rising was full! Shouldn't it be waning now? It seemed like the moon had been full for weeks now!

Dagrún tried to push it out of her mind as she walked through the Orchard. Winter had taken most of the leaves off the trees, leaving the bare black branches stretching up into the sky. A light breeze whispered through, gently rocking them back and forth like some sort of death rattle.
