Sparrow managed to be offended at his slap and Azure let out a brief, breathless laugh as she took a step backwards from him. "My bad, I figured the whole 'don't hit women' thing went away when she waltzes around looking for warm holes and calling herself 'King'."

Sparrow was winding up for another assault and Azure saw the forehead-butt coming before he had much time to react or dodge it. He pried his jaws open wide and lunged, aiming to meet her in the middle of her charge and perhaps secure a hold upon her muzzle before she could land the heavy blow upon his head. Azure was definitely not wanting to be knocked out a second time, but at least he could take comfort in knowing it wouldn't be a kiss that did him in in the end.
