Gwynevere really hadn't been out of the castle much at all since she was attacked and the thought of going beyond the castle walls was seemingly out of the question. She had tried a couple of times, but she hardly made it half way to the plains before the anxiety finally got the best of her and she had to turnaround and go back. Her mother had given her Blue to hopefully keep her company and feel a bit better about trying to venture out a bit since she had trained the lemur to help her in fights, but so far Gwyn had only made use of the lemur's dexterous hands that had turned out to be very helpful when it came to picking apart herbs and making things like poultices.

Today though she felt slightly more up to the task of venturing out. It was nearly a full season if not more since that man attacked her—long enough in fact for Artorias to return from the Armada, get into a fight with the man, and fully recover from that fight. Surely if her brother could go through even worse than she had and be out in the world leading a pack then she could manage to go out to the neighboring gardens to replenish some basic herbs for their pharmacy. It was later in the day, but she didn't want to miss out on the determination she felt so with Blue riding on her back and Eilwen keeping watch from above she went out to the gardens with her satchel to see what she could find. The dark of night crept up on her much more quickly than she had anticipated, but as had been the case for the last couple of weeks the moon was bright and full, lighting up the world more than enough for her to see by.

She still had yet to determine whether the glow some of the plants carried actually effected the herbs or not. When she picked the leaves and flowers she wanted the glow faded from them pretty quickly and from what she had seen the next day after she gathered them they seemed normal enough so she continued on with her gathering all the same, slowly filling up her satchel with things like marigolds, lavender, motherwort, and boneset. Eventually she rounded a corner around one of the low walls of the garden and jumped a little when she suddenly found herself face to face with Serenity. "Oh! Oh, hi, Serenity," she said with a sigh and a slight chuckle, her ears flicking a bit at how jumpy she still was.
