It must be something in the water

It was easy for Veigar to sink deep into the labyrinth of his own mind, often feeling quite alone even when the reality was that he was hardly ever really alone. He hadn't spent much time outside of Habari's lands and lately he'd been working on his training with Askell. Somehow in this moment he didn't recognize that Aryn was nearby, even if subconsciously he could hear her approach; he nearly jumped out of his skin when she approached and spoke. The growl in his chest died down, fading just as the firefly lights did. "No, no luck," he said, sounding equal parts sad and frustrated at the admission.
Perhaps he thought he ought to be able to harvest the little balls of light; his own coat possessed a similar sort of glow, after all, and he didn't know anyone else in Habari who had that power. Not that he could control it - but maybe these firefly-looking things couldn't, either. Veigar realized he was pouting and he tried to reign in his temper before it got the best of him. Her idea was a sound one, even if he wasn't sure it would work, at least not for him. Veigar wasn't a patient boy, which was becoming especially evident as he grew older. "You think we should we try?" he asked her curiously, leaning slightly against her for comfort.

Veigar is completely blind; his eyes are a hazy shade of pale yellow, though he tries his best to hide this fact.
His saliva also glows a faint shade of neon green since the Ooze event.
