Sirius' oversized frame was visible through the grass long before he'd got into a decent speaking range, and immediately upon seeing that charcoal pelt Azure picked up the bottle and took another heavy swig of it. Oh, fuck. He stared into the flames as his father came up, seated himself down, and helped himself to the liquor Azure had laid out.

Azure was as nervous as he'd ever been glancing over at his father's pleased expression and high expectations, knowing that he'd need to let the behemoth of an alpha down and hard. He grimaced, deciding it was better not to beat around the bush, and let out a small nervous belt of laughter as his father bluntly assumed the booze was celebratory and not self-destructive. "Hanako's pregnant." Azure blurted, taking the bottle and holding it between his paws as if he might have another sip any second. "It was accidental, proper precautions were used, I consulted a healer, I don't know how it happened." His words rattled out quickly, and to prevent himself from speaking more and dissolving into what would amount to begging, Azure took another chug of the drink. The Champion realized mid-swallow that he'd left out the much needed apology, but he knew if he spoke again he'd never stop.
