Run, Forest, Run!

Jynn nodded as Audra offered to count down. She got into her runner's stance, her ears flattening against her head in an effort to make herself more aerodynamic. Her large ears had their uses but having giant furry radar dishes on top of her head did little for speed. Audra took her time with the countdown and Jynn fidgeted in her eagerness. When at last three was hit she bounded forward across the frost-covered ground. The air was crisp and cool and it made her feel alive tearing through the territory. Her breath spilled out of her mouth like fog and she lapped up the sunlight on her back.
