As she stared at the glittering bones, her energy seeped from her paws and into the ground below her. Calamity lost track of time as the bones commanded her gaze. Try as she might, she couldn't - or didn't want to - look away. It was... beautiful. It struck her speechless. It stole all of her energy. Calamity's lower lip quivered as she was overcome with an inescapable fatigue. Any second now, she would collapse. But she had been here before. She had carried the weight of Venom's stare, she had hefted Ashen's expectations upon her shoulders and staggered beneath their weight. Calamity had trained for this. Her God had prepared her. Without moving a muscle, Calamity stared ahead unblinkingly at the bones and remained perfectly still. Release would come. For now, she would wait it out.
