As you touch the mushroom a strange feeling begins in your chest. Like the rhythm of your heart has been overtaken, you find that rather then the mushroom copy your heartbeat, your heartbeat is copying the mushroom. The pulsing of the fungi fluctuates between rapid and irregular, and extremely slow. Neither feeling is a pleasant one in your chest.
Maybe you shouldn't have done that.
